Rachelle Barkus

Rachelle (Elledge) Barkus is an experienced education professional with a comprehensive background in various leadership roles within Modesto City Schools since August 2003, currently serving as the Senior Director of Educational Options. Previous positions include High School Associate Principal for Curriculum and Instruction and Elementary School Principal, along with experience as a CTE High School Academy Teacher. Rachelle began her educational career in the Modesto Area from August 1997 to August 2003, focusing on Adult Education and ROP teaching. Rachelle holds a Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, an Administrative Credential, a Single Subject Credential, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Human Development Family Studies, all earned from reputable institutions including Brandman University, Chapman University, Abilene Christian University, and Grand Canyon University.
