Nada Matar

Nada Matar is an accomplished urban designer and architect with extensive experience in master planning and design leadership. Currently serving as Associate Director of Master Planning and Vision at Modon since May 2023, Matar previously held the role of Design Director for Master Planning at DLR Group from February 2022 to March 2023. Additional positions include Associate in Planning & Urban Design at CallisonRTKL and Sr. Urban Designer/Architect at Parsons Corporation. Matar's career began as Design Manager at PMDC Project Management and Design Consultants, along with earlier roles as Lead Designer/Partner at Move Architects and Architect at Laceco Architects & Engineers. Matar also contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at the American University of Beirut. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the American University of Beirut, a Master's degree in Architecture from Université Libanaise - Institut des Beaux Arts, and an online course from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on emerging design and technology for smart cities.
