Fabio Riccardi

Fabio Riccardi is an accomplished Chief Scientist at GLASS Imaging, specializing in the development of advanced camera and lens technologies since July 2021. Previously, Riccardi worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at Cerebras Systems, contributing to the Cerebras CS1 AI Supercomputer project. At Google, Riccardi led efforts in TensorFlow Lite GPU acceleration, while at Facebook, leadership was demonstrated in developing the OpenGL GPU inference runtime for the Caffe2 Deep Learning Framework. Prior experience includes significant roles in camera algorithm development at Apple, and as CEO and CTO of Light Crafts, where LightZone was created. Riccardi’s early career featured positions as Chief Architect at Propel Corp., Senior Software Engineer at BEA Systems, and President of XQRL, Inc., contributing to innovations in web server technologies and data integration solutions. Riccardi holds a Laurea in Electronic Engineering and a Doctorate in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
