Cathy Venable has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Cathy started their career as an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton LLP in 1987. After working there for eight years, they joined Davidson Plastics Corporation as a Controller, where they implemented a new ERP and cost accounting system. In 1999, they joined ModusLink as a Division Controller, responsible for accounting and financial reporting. Cathy then took on the role of Regional Controller, focusing on post-acquisition and merger integration of finance activities. Cathy later became the CFO for various divisions within ModusLink, including the Supply Chain Business Unit, Global Operations, Asia and Europe, and the Americas. Cathy'sresponsibilities included leading finance and accounting improvement initiatives, implementing new systems and controls, and overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. In 2012, they became the Senior VP Finance Transformation, leading a team in the comprehensive review of systems and controls. Finally, in 2020, Cathy became the Chief Financial Officer of ModusLink.

Cathy Venable holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Honors degree from Utah State University, attained from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Honors degree in Accounting from Seattle University between 1985 and 1987. Cathy has also completed the Women's Executive Leadership Program at Bentley University, although the details of the certification are not provided.
