April Thornton currently serves as Program Director at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services since August 2017. Previous experience includes working as a Case Manager/Outreach for the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe, where April integrated mental health services on the reservation in collaboration with Indian Health Services to provide rehabilitation for substance use disorders. Earlier in the career, a position as a Behavioral Health Technician was held at Mohave Mental Health Clinic. Academic accomplishments include multiple master's degrees from Grand Canyon University in Professional Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, and a focus on Trauma.
