Ryan Akong

Ryan Akong is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Counsel at Aterian since February 2021, with previous roles as Associate Counsel. Prior experience includes positions at KPMG US as a Senior Associate in Risk Management & Compliance and as an Associate in Independence: Risk Management from November 2016 to February 2021. Ryan also held the role of Law Clerk at the New York State Workers' Compensation Board and completed legal internships at McCormick & O'Brien LLP and the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy Clinic. Earlier work experience includes an EEO intern position at the City of New York's Department of Homeless Services and a Development Associate role at The CityKids Foundation, where over $1 million was raised for youth programs. Ryan began professional training in the field with an internship at the Ford Foundation.
