Carl Whittemore has extensive experience in pharmacy purchasing and management, currently serving as the Pharmacy Purchasing Manager at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare since August 1999. In this role, Carl oversees the pharmacy purchasing program for multiple facilities within the Mohawk Valley Health System, including two acute care facilities, a regional cancer center, and several outpatient centers. Previously, Carl held positions as a Pharmacy Buyer at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare from 1990 to August 1999, where the role was created to establish control over pharmacy purchasing, and as a Pharmacy Technician at Faxton Hospital from April 1984 to 1990. Education was obtained from MVCC.

MVHS is governed by a single, 18-member board of directors, with nine members from FSLH’s board and nine from SEMC’s board. The system is operated by a single management team.
