Christian Wilms

Christian Wilms is an accomplished professional in the field of oil and gas, currently serving as the Vice President of Field Development & Innovative Technologies at MOL Group since October 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing green and brown field development activities and introducing innovative technologies for enhanced field recovery. Prior to this role, Christian contributed significantly to Shell in various capacities from July 2010 to September 2019, including Senior Vice President of Subsurface & Field Development and Business Development & Appraisal Manager, focusing on complex business deals and appraisal activities in diverse regions such as Europe, Russia, and the Caspian. Earlier experience includes roles in reservoir engineering and field development with Qatargas/Shell, Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria, and NAM, where Christian gained a wealth of expertise in reservoir engineering, field studies, and seismic interpretation. Educational qualifications include a Diplom (MSc+) in Physics from RWTH Aachen University and advanced studies at The University of Manchester.
