Likun Fei has a long and varied work experience. Likun began their career in 2005 as a Research Assistant at Fudan University, where they developed two new superporous hydrogels with interpenetrating polymer network (SPH-IPN) for peroral delivery of peptide or protein drugs. Likun then moved to the University of Southern California in 2007, where they were a Postdoctoral Scholar-Research Associate and Teaching/Research Assistant, Ph.D. candidate, with advisors Jennica Zaro, Ph.D. and Wei-Chiang Shen Ph.D. In 2016, they joined Intrexon Corporation as a Scientist, where they made critical contributions and co-led the development of an exosome-based topical delivery system for skin care, from concept to ready for partnership in two years. Theirkey responsibilities included developing and optimizing cargo loading process, designing fluorescent cargo to show enhanced skin penetrance, managing achievement of key milestones, providing project updates, and creating presentations to external investors. Likun also supervised 2-4 research associates since 2018, and selected to troubleshoot/optimize purification process for another exosome-based therapeutic RNA delivery platform. In 2021, Likun Fei joined Molecular Assemblies, Inc. as a Scientist.
Likun Fei obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from Fudan University between 2001 and 2005. Likun then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2014. In 2019, they obtained an Interpersonal Communication certification from LinkedIn.
