Christian Kier

Christian Kier has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and marketing. Christian is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Molecular Devices since March 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Molecular Devices, LLC from January 2018 to March 2020 and from January 2014 to December 2017 respectively. Christian also served as the Director of Product Management, BioImaging at the same company from February 2012 to January 2014.

Before joining Molecular Devices, Christian worked at Molecular Devices, Inc. as the Director of Marketing, MetaMorph from February 2010 to February 2012. Christian also gained experience at MDS Analytical Technologies where they held the positions of Director of Marketing, MetaMorph from January 2008 to February 2010 and Product Manager, MetaMorph from April 2007 to January 2008.

Further in their career, Christian worked as the Director of Support & Project Management at DSG, Inc. from September 2006 to December 2006. Christian also served as the Manager of Marketing & Technology at Leica Microsystems from January 2000 to September 2006. Prior to this, they had positions at Leica Microsystems, Inc. as Technology Manager from January 1998 to January 2000 and as Technical Coordinator from June 1995 to January 1998.

Christian Kier pursued their academic education in the field of Bioengineering. Christian first attended Syracuse University from 1984 to 1988, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, where they completed their postgraduate studies from 1988 to 1995. Christian obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Bioengineering during their time at the University of Pennsylvania.
