Julia Zhu

Julia Zhu has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Julia started their career as a Project Assistant at CITIC Technology in 1993 before moving on to Xinfarge as an Assistant to the Marketing & Sales Manager. Julia then worked as a Translator at Rai Plywoords (Co.) Ltd in 1995. Julia joined Kohler (Beijing) in 1997 as a Production Control Manager, where they implemented MRP and streamlined manufacturing processes. Julia then joined Corning (Shanghai) Co. Limited in 2000 as a Logistics Manager, where they focused on demand/supply planning and inventory control. In 2004, Julia became a Supply Chain Manager at Corning Display Technology, leading a team to implement demand-pull and achieve inventory reduction. Julia then worked at B&J (Shanghai) Int'l Trading Co. Ltd (Orica) as a Supply Chain & SHE Manager North Asia, where they reduced trade working capital through competitive bidding and supplier negotiations. Currently, Julia Zhu is a Supply Chain Manager at Molecular Devices, leading a team and implementing lean manufacturing tools to reduce inventory and improve operational efficiency.

Julia Zhu attended Beijing University of Chemical Technology from 1988 to 1993, where they pursued a degree in Engineering with a focus on Materials. In addition, they also attended Beijing Polytechnic University during the same period and earned a Bachelor's degree in organic Non-metallic Materials Engineering.
