Application Scientist - Automation And Workflow Solutions at Molecular Devices

Sushmita Sudarshan has work experience as an Application Scientist at Molecular Devices since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist I - Assay Development at GALT: General Automation Lab Technologies, Inc from July 2020 to May 2021. Sushmita also has experience as a Graduate Research scholar at the University of Texas at Dallas from January 2013 to January 2020, focusing on microbiology research including bacterial strain banking, culture preparation, and DNA manipulation. Additionally, they worked as a Research Intern at the National Institute for Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in India in May-July 2011, gaining experience in molecular genetics and DNA isolation.

Sushmita Sudarshan began their education in 2007, earning a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry from Mount Carmel College in India. Sushmita continued their studies at Mount Carmel College, obtaining a Master's degree in Life Sciences from 2010 to 2012. Sushmita then pursued higher education at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they completed a Master's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from 2012 to 2014. Sushmita furthered their academic journey at the same institution, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from 2014 to 2019.
