Alexandra Neculcea

Alexandra Neculcea is an experienced professional in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceutical research, currently serving as an Expert Research Associate - Lead Generation at Molecular Partners since August 2019. In this role, Alexandra focuses on the expression and purification of DARPins, characterization of proteins through various biophysical methods, method optimization, and documentation of results. Prior to this, Alexandra worked at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences on mass cultivation of hairy roots for plant extract production, and at the Center of Organic Chemistry "C.D. Nenitescu" of the Romanian Academy as a Junior Researcher in Biotechnology, where work involved synthesizing chromium complexes and evaluating literature on Type 2 Diabetes. Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences and a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
