Tomoyuki Izuhara

Tomoyuki Izuhara is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Director of Optical Engineering and Director of Photonic Integration at Molex since January 2023. Prior to this, Tomoyuki held the role of Chief Technology Officer at a stealth startup from February 2021 to December 2022 and served as VP Engineering at Quanergy, where Tomoyuki focused on new technology development for solid-state 3D LiDAR sensors from April 2014 to January 2021. Earlier experience includes positions as Senior Optical Engineer and Process Engineering Manager at Enablence, where product and process development for optical components in telecommunications were key responsibilities, and as a Senior Optical Engineer at Dupont Photonics Technologies, specializing in polymer-based planar lightwave circuits. Research contributions as a Research Assistant at Columbia University included investigations into thin film fabrication and integrated optical circuit design. Tomoyuki earned a Ph.D., MS, and M.Phil. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, following a BA and MS in Physics from Kyoto University.
