Jekabs Bricis

Jekabs Bricis has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jekabs started their career as a Bellboy at Hotel Riga in 2006 and later worked as a Shop Assistant at Rimi Baltic Group in 2007. In 2009, they worked as a Receptionist at Designapartments.

Jekabs then gained experience in the banking sector, starting with an internship at Latvijas Krājbanka in 2011, where they later worked as an Alienated Real Estate Accountant. In 2012, they completed an internship at AS "PrivatBank" and performed administrative tasks.

In 2013, Jekabs joined Cytec as an AP Coordinator, responsible for invoice processing and communication with various departments in the company. Jekabs then transitioned to the auditing field, joining KPMG as a Junior Auditor in September 2014. Jekabs progressively took on more responsibilities, becoming a Senior Auditor in October 2016. In this role, they managed audits for clients in various industries and coached junior staff.

In June 2018, Jekabs also worked at ECOMMPAY as an Associate Corporate Finance, where they analyzed numerical information, provided investment advice, and participated in M&A transactions. Jekabs worked closely with partners and collaborated with experts from different fields.

In May 2019, Jekabs returned to KPMG as a Senior Auditor on a project basis. Jekabs independently managed audits for clients in real estate holdings, logistics, and retail companies.

Most recently, they joined Moller Auto Latvia in 2019. Jekabs first worked as a Business Controller for Møller Mobility Group in Latvia, where they were responsible for financial control and worked closely with the CFO. In February 2022, they transitioned to the role of Project Manager Business Development Baltics. In this position, they are responsible for overseeing retail operations, exploring new business directions, and reviewing existing ones. Jekabs reports directly to the Baltics COO.

Jekabs Bricis has a strong educational background in the field of business and finance. Jekabs completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Banku Augstskola, starting in 2009 and graduating in 2013. In 2012 and 2013, they pursued further education at Universität Liechtenstein, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General.

Jekabs continued their academic journey in 2020 by enrolling in Latvijas Universitate, where they pursued a Master's degree in Finance, General. Jekabs successfully completed this degree in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Jekabs also obtained a certification in Communications skills with clients from WIN partners, a business consultation and training company, in November 2016.
