Nelson Nieves has extensive experience in building operations and management, with a career spanning over two decades in various leadership roles. Since October 2004, Nelson has served as the Assistant Director of Building Operations and Fire Safety & Emergency Action Plan Director at The Museum of Modern Art, coordinating task assignments for union staff and overseeing the housekeeping team for the museum's extensive property. Prior to this, Nelson held positions at LARO Service as Assistant Director of Building Operations and Assistant Regional Manager, where oversight included 300 employees and maintaining operations within budgetary constraints. Experience also includes managing parking facilities at Edison Properties and ensuring compliance with city regulations as a Facility Manager. Additionally, Nelson has a background in investigative roles with the New York City Department of Investigations, conducting criminal investigations and background checks on city employees, as well as a supervisory position in market inspection for the New York City Department of Business Services.
