Sr. Research Associate II at MOMA Therapeutics

Steven Horner has over 13 years of experience in research and development. From 2009 to 2013, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they researched the NF-kB pathway and its role in VSV infection. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Laboratory Technician III and Research Associate II at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where they were responsible for vector design and expression, protein purification, binding assays, and x-ray crystallography. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate III. In this role, they were the lead protein scientist on early stage small molecule drug discovery campaigns, focusing on construct design, protein purification, biochemical/physical characterization, and protein:protein or protein:ligand interaction assays. Steven also developed SPR assays to characterize protein-protein interactions and x-ray crystallography systems to structurally enable projects and aid SAR in hit-to-lead pipelines. In 2022, they began their current role as a Sr. Research Associate II at MOMA Therapeutics.

Steven Horner attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Bioscience and Biotechnology.
