Sumi Thaker

Sumi Thaker has worked in a variety of roles in the pharmaceutical and retail industries. Sumi began their career in 1989 as a Commercial Manager at Marks and Spencer. In 1994, they were promoted to General Manager at Virgin. Two years later, they began working at Sanofi as a Sales Manager. In 2002, they joined UCB as the General Manager for CNS, UK & European Markets. In 2007, they were promoted to Marketing Director for Epilepsy, where they were responsible for global marketing and brand strategy. In 2008, they moved to bioMerieux as the Senior Vice President. In 2010, they were promoted to Divisional Vice President at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Finally, in 2016, they joined Momentum Bioscience Ltd as the Chief Executive Officer and Commercial Director, where they were responsible for developing products and applications for Momentum's ETGA™ technology.

Sumi Thaker obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business & Finance with a focus in Marketing & Organisation Change from the University of South Wales between 1990 and 1994.
