Karen Erkert Kovach

Karen Erkert Kovach has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations.

Karen started their career at Central City Concern in 2007, where they worked as a Treatment Assistant. After that, they joined Florence Crittenton Services of North Carolina in 2008, serving as a Case Coordinator & Substance Abuse Coordinator until 2010.

In 2011, Karen joined Financial Solutions of the Carolinas as a Financial Counselor & Community Relations Coordinator, a position they held until 2012.

From 2012 to 2019, they worked at Changed Choices, first as an Operations Manager and later as the Executive Director until November 2019.

In 2019, Karen became a Nonprofit Consultant and worked independently until 2023.

Currently, they hold the role of Chief of Staff at Momtech Inc., a position they started in March 2023.

Karen Erkert Kovach received a High School Diploma from Rain Forest International School in 2003. Karen then went on to attend the College of Charleston from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Language and Literature. In 2014, they enrolled at Duke University and completed a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Certified Housing Counselor and a Certified Consumer Credit Counselor from the National Foundation for Credit Counseling in 2011.
