David Smyth has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as a Mathematics Tutor at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2016. David then took on two internships, one at Pramerica as a Data Science Intern and one at ORRECO as a Data Science Intern. In 2017, they were accepted to a scholarship at the National University of Ireland, Galway to research the use of autonomous RAVs/RGVs in the ROCSAFE Horizon 2020 project, while also working as a SUMS tutor. In 2019, they worked as an Associate Lecturer at the Technological University Dublin and as a Research Assistant at Trinity College Dublin, where they wrote the deliverable "Crowd scene synthesis and metrics for quality evaluation". David then worked as a Data Scientist at CeADAR Ireland in 2021, and is currently working as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Mon Ami since 2022.
David Smyth attended Calasanctius College, Oranmore, Co.Galway from 2009 to 2013 and obtained a Leaving Certificate in English, Maths, Applied Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Graphic Design, French, and Irish. David then attended the University of Galway from 2013 to 2017 and obtained a BSc. in Maths and Computer Science (1st Class Honours) from the National University of Ireland, Galway in September 2013. David also completed an exchange semester in Mathematics and Computer Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2015. Finally, they attended the University of Galway from 2017 to 2019 and obtained a Research Masters in Muti-Agent Systems.
