Niels Larsen

Scene Technician at Mondavi Center

Niels Larsen possesses extensive experience in both the technical and performing arts sectors. As a Scene Technician at Mondavi Center since November 2015, Niels specializes as a Deck Electrician and Production Electrician, alongside Deck Audio responsibilities. Concurrently, Niels has been a Stage Hand at Three Stages and a Set Designer at Larsen Stage Craft since March 2013, focusing on set and lighting design for theater productions. Previous experience includes a notable tenure at Hewlett Packard from January 1979 to January 2012, where Niels held various engineering roles, leading a team to develop a global test control system and designing automatic control systems for testing server boards. Niels's career began in the US Navy from January 1971 to January 1977 as an Operations Specialist aboard USS Midway and in staff roles in the San Francisco Bay area and Pearl Harbor. Niels holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Industrial Electronics Technology from Cal Poly State University.
