Nikolay Doroshenko is an experienced energy and recovery technology professional currently serving as the Manager of Group Energy & Recovery Technology at Mondi Group since October 2024, focusing on CAPEX concept development and technical evaluations for major projects across company mills. Prior to Mondi Group, Doroshenko held various senior roles at Valmet from April 2014 to November 2024, including Senior Manager for Business Development in Energy, Recovery, and Environmental sectors, as well as Director positions for the Russia and CIS regions. Earlier in the career, Doroshenko worked at Metso in roles ranging from Director for Russia to General Manager within its joint venture with Wärtsilä, and also gained sales experience at Honeywell and a technical background at Gazprom. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Physics focused on thermal and nuclear power plants from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute and an MBA from Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.
