Rana Tharwat

Rana Tharwat has over 15 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. Their most recent position was as the Global Head of QA at Mondia Group, where they led the quality function on a global scale and implemented QA processes and strategies. Prior to that, they worked at EJADA as the SW Test Lead at TCoE, where they designed and implemented training programs and an automation framework. Rana also had extensive experience at Information Technology Industry Development Agency, ITIDA, where they held various roles including Professional Services & Evaluation Department Manager and Security Software Testing Team Lead. They were responsible for testing encryption and decryption software, establishing QA processes, and coordinating QA resources. They also worked as a freelance Software Testing Specialist, a Software Testing Team Lead at siParadigm Diagnostic Informatics and Awal IT Services, and a Senior Software Quality Control Engineer at CGI. Throughout their career, Rana has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to devise effective testing strategies and processes.

Rana Tharwat holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Information and Computer Sciences, obtained between 2003 and 2007. In addition, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, completed from 2017 to 2019. Rana also obtained certifications in IT service management (ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2018) and software testing (CSTE from QAI Global Institute in December 2011).
