Christoph Hartmann

Christoph Hartmann has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Christoph is currently the CTO and Co-Founder of Mondoo, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, Christoph took a creative sabbatical in Europe from January 2019 to December 2020.

Before their sabbatical, Christoph served as the Director of Engineering at Chef Software from November 2015 to January 2019. Christoph was also the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Vulcano Security GmbH, which was acquired by Chef Software Inc in October 2015. Christoph played a pivotal role in creating InSpec during their time there.

Christoph's career started at IVU Traffic Technologies AG, where they worked as a Software Engineer from July 2003 to December 2008. Christoph then moved on to SAP Research, serving as a Grid-Computing Engineer from March 2007 to September 2007.

Christoph's earlier experiences include roles at T-Labs, Telekom Innovation Laboratories as a Cloud Engineer from July 2013 to July 2015, and at Sessionbird GmbH as a Co-Founder and Managing Director from June 2013 to March 2015. Christoph also worked at Deutsche Telekom AG, Next Generation IT Lab as a Technical Project Manager from January 2011 to June 2013, and participated in the Start-Up! Young Executive Program from May 2009 to December 2010.

Christoph Hartmann obtained a B.Sc. in Software Engineering from Hasso-Plattner-Institute from 2003 to 2007. Christoph then pursued an M.Sc. in IT-Systems Engineering from the same institute from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they completed the Stanford Design Entrepreneurship Class at Stanford University for a duration of 10 months in 2007-2008. In terms of certifications, Christoph obtained a certification in Cryptography I from Coursera, Stanford University in 2014, and a certification in Technology Entrepreneurship from Venture Lab, Stanford University in 2013.
