Daniel Cook

Daniel Cook has extensive experience in data engineering and machine learning. Daniel began their career in 2015 as a Senior Developer for Java at Anatwine. Daniel then moved to Obrussa as a Technical Lead for Full Stack JavaScript. In 2016, they worked as a Lead Developer for Scott Logic, a Big Data Developer for BT, and a Big Data Development Lead for ADMIRALTY Maritime Products & Services. In 2017, they held two contract positions, one as a Technical Architect for Living Map and the other as a Software Design Authority for Bitcat Software Limited. In 2019, they became a Senior Data Engineer at Rovco and in 2020, they took on the role of Data Science Lead at Moneyhub Enterprise. In this role, they are responsible for the organisation's machine learning based transaction categorisation engine, quantitative analysis of consumer spending and development of statistical techniques to approve mortgage applicants based on affordability criteria. Daniel is fluent in using Python, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Pytorch, AWS SageMaker and Athena.

Daniel Cook obtained a BEng in Computer Science from the University of York between 2003 and 2007. Daniel then went on to obtain an MSc in Data Science from the University of Bath between 2018 and 2019. Additionally, they have a Computer Vision Nanodegree from Udacity.
