Dan Bailie has a diverse work experience that spans several years. Dan started their career at IBM in 2014 as a Global Delivery - Commercial Operations Analyst, where they focused on validating and improving cost processes. From there, they progressed through various roles in sales and account management. Dan worked as a Junior Account Manager, tracking the performance of a senior account manager's top media account. Dan then worked in Infrastructure Services Sales, focusing on the Financial Markets sector and running a whitespace campaign that resulted in pipeline growth. In later roles, they were part of the account sales teams for IBM's largest Telecoms client and EMEA's largest managed services client. Dan was responsible for growing the base contract, managing contractual KPIs, and developing business opportunities. Dan also worked as a Hybrid Cloud Services Sales representative and as part of the sales team for a Vodafone Venture. In these roles, they focused on identifying and qualifying financial uplift opportunities and nurturing customer relationships. Currently, in 2022, they are a Senior Engagement Manager at MongoDB.
Dan Bailie completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics from Sheffield Hallam University between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, they attended Ormskirk School 6th Form from 2010 to 2012 and Ormskirk School from 2005 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Dan has obtained several certifications from IBM, including IBM Selling Profession Certification - Level I in May 2020, Infrastructure Services Selling - Digital Transformation in August 2019, Global Sales School in June 2019, IBM Agile Explorer in May 2018, and IBM Design Thinking Practitioner in July 2017.
