Malcolm Carayol's work experience begins in 2010 when they worked as a Math & Physical Education instructor at Ferguson Elementary School for a summer. In the following year, they worked as a lifeguard at O'Connor Swimming Pool.

In 2012, Carayol took on the role of Quality Control Manager at Ocean Beauty Seafoods and also served as a Brand Ambassador for Sony. Malcolm continued their education, interning as an Operations Technology and Analytics Intern at Independence Blue Cross in 2013 and as an IT Processing & Competitive Analysis Intern at The Red Flag Group later that year.

In 2014, Carayol worked as an ITLP Intern at GE Power & Water before joining Microsoft in 2015. At Microsoft, they held various roles such as a Cloud Solutions Architect for Office 365, a Technical Program Manager II for Dynamics CRM, and a Senior Technical Advisor and Technical Program Manager for Digital Safety.

In 2022, Carayol joined MongoDB as a Technical Program Manager for Cloud Engineering.

Malcolm Carayol's education history begins with their high school education at The Episcopal Academy, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. Afterward, they attended Syracuse University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Management and Technology at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, during their time at Syracuse University, they obtained a minor in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management.

In 2013, Malcolm participated in a Study Abroad program at City University of Hong Kong. However, no specific field of study is provided for this experience.

Malcolm Carayol also holds various certifications. In 2016, they obtained the "MS: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions" certification from Microsoft, along with the "Exam 534: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions" certification. In 2017, they obtained the "Exam 347: Enabling Office 365 Services" and "Exam 346: Managing Office 365 Identities and Requirements" certifications, both also from Microsoft. In 2020, they completed the "Accessibility in Action" certification from Microsoft Accessibility. Furthermore, in 2021, Malcolm obtained the "Instructor Recognition - 250 Students Reached" certification from Learn on Demand Systems, and in 2022, they acquired the "Advanced Open Water Diver" certification from PADI.
