Massimiliano Marcon

Massimiliano Marcon has extensive work experience in product management and engineering roles. Massimiliano currently works at MongoDB as the Product Management Lead for Developer Experience. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Product Manager for Compass & Developer Tools at MongoDB. Massimiliano also worked as a Product Manager for Compass at MongoDB.

Before joining MongoDB, Marcon worked at HERE Technologies where they held various roles. Massimiliano served as the Technical Product Owner for Indoor Solutions, leading a multidisciplinary team in the development of an IoT product. Massimiliano was responsible for product discovery, delivery, roadmap management, and technology discussions with customers and partners. Massimiliano also worked as an Engineering Manager for Cloud Services, driving engineering and product decisions for innovative cloud services.

Marcon's earlier experience includes working at IHMC as a Research Associate, designing and developing web and iOS applications. Massimiliano collaborated on research efforts related to network communication protocols, wireless networks, service discovery, and Service Oriented Architectures. Massimiliano also worked as a Student Intern, gaining experience in network protocol design and development, service discovery techniques, and peer-to-peer frameworks.

Massimiliano Marcon obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Padova, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Ferrara between 2005 and 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Marcon has also obtained several certifications. These include PMC Level I from Pragmatic Institute, which they obtained in September 2021. Massimiliano acquired the certification in "M001: MongoDB Basics course" from MongoDB in August 2018. In August 2017, they completed the "Product Management Foundations" certification from Lynda.com.
