Ranga Desikachari

Head Of Engineering at Crypto Quantique

Ranga Desikachari has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, specifically in roles related to RF design and IC circuitry.

Starting in 2002, they worked as an Analog Design Intern at Silicon Laboratories, where they focused on system modeling and circuit redesign.

In 2003, they joined Agere Systems Inc as a Member of Technical Staff, where they designed low-power baseband circuits and achieved a successful track record of designing circuits to production quality. Ranga also obtained a US patent during their time at Agere Systems Inc.

In 2006, Ranga joined CSR as a Principal Analog/RF IC Design Engineer, where they contributed to the design of analogue baseband and RF circuits for various technologies such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC. Ranga worked on multiple technology nodes and had designs in production.

In 2015, they joined Qualcomm as a Senior Staff Engineer before transitioning to Huawei Technologies Research & Development (UK) Ltd in 2016. At Huawei, they worked as a Principal Engineer, leading the design of LO divider/buffers and mixer bias circuits for a 5G receiver test chip, and also as the lead RF Designer on a 5G transceiver test chip's transmitter.

In 2018, Ranga moved to Phasor, where they held the position of Principal RF Design Engineer. Here, they were responsible for designing RF/Baseband blocks on a Ku-band beam-steering transmit antenna, as well as transmitter RF IP blocks on 22nm FDSOI technology.

Following their tenure at Phasor, Ranga worked at Phoelex as a Principal Engineer, primarily focusing on their role as the Principal Engineer.

Most recently, Ranga joined Crypto Quantique in 2021 as the Head of Engineering.

Ranga Desikachari has a strong educational background in the fields of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Physics, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Ranga obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. During the same period, they also completed their Master's degree in Physics from the same educational institution. Later, from 2001 to 2003, Ranga pursued a Master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.
