Patrick McCluskey

Vice President, WW Strategic Azure Cloud Pursuits at MongoDB

Patrick McCluskey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Patrick started their career in 1997 as the National Sales Manager at Infoglide Software, where they were responsible for selling fraud-fighting software to financial services, insurance, e-commerce companies, and federal intelligence agencies. During their tenure, they successfully sold Infoglide's software to top insurance companies and helped identify and prosecute a large-scale fraud ring.

In 2001, McCluskey became the Director of Corporate Sales at NextEngine Inc., where they focused on acquiring Fortune 500 customers and attracting venture capital investors. Patrick successfully sold NextEngine's 3D desktop scanning hardware and software solutions to manufacturing and intelligence customers, leading to a successful funding round.

From 2005 to 2008, McCluskey served as the Enterprise Sales Account Executive and Territory Manager at ClearCube Technology, where they were responsible for revenue and margin growth across multiple states. Patrick was able to turn around the assigned territory to become the top-producing territory worldwide.

At Egenera, McCluskey worked as the Territory Manager for Texas and the Midwest Dell Channel from 2008 to 2010. In this role, they drove sales of Dell Processor Area Network (PAN) systems, which provided high uptime for mission-critical systems.

From 2010 to 2013, McCluskey worked as the Technical Business Development Manager for U.S. Federal Sales at AppSense, leading the adoption of user virtualization technology in enterprise organizations. Patrick played a crucial role in standardizing desktop builds and automating desktop and application delivery.

In 2013, McCluskey joined VMware as an Enterprise End User Computing (EUC) Sales Specialist. Patrick'smain responsibility was to ensure that VMware's desktop/end-user tools were viewed as a strategic deployment platform, transforming IT from a cost burden to a strategic asset.

McCluskey then moved to BMC Software in 2013, where they served as the WW Cloud Automation Director of Sales for Global Outsourcers and Systems Integrators. Patrick was responsible for driving and closing sales of over $40 million in cloud and automation software, working with global outsourcers, systems integrators, and premier cloud service providers.

Currently, McCluskey holds the position of Vice President of WW Strategic Azure Cloud Pursuits at MongoDB. Patrick joined the company in 2015 and has since held various roles, including Director of Partner Sales for the West USA and Director of Partner Sales for Central USA, LATAM, and Public Sector. Patrick is responsible for partner sales and collaborations with system integrators, cloud partners, ISV, OEM, and technology partners.

Throughout their career, McCluskey has demonstrated their ability to drive sales, build strategic partnerships, and deliver exceptional results in various technology companies across different sectors.

Patrick McCluskey attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government & Economics.
