Ronan B. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies.

Beginning their career at TomTec Imaging Systems GmbH in 1997 as a Software Engineer, they played a key role in the migration from a DOS-based solution to WindowsNT. Ronan was responsible for the Freehand product, which integrated a 6DOF sensor with an ultrasound machine for 3D volumetric imaging.

In 1999, Ronan joined Inquire AG as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led the development of Inquire Design, a 3D design tool targeting the automotive industry. Ronan also worked on STEPS and IGES integration projects.

Moving on to Funcom as a Lead Software Engineer in 1999, Ronan contributed to game development.

From 2000 to 2002, Ronan worked at Havok as a Senior Software Engineer. Ronan led the development of the first Havok SDK for Playstation II, managed the Havok plugin for Maya, and established the Developer Relations team.

In 2002, Ronan took a career break.

In 2003, they joined Sony Europe GmbH as a Contract Software Engineer.

Ronan started working at Automsoft as a Senior Software Engineer in 2004. Ronan played a core role on the development team, working on RAPID, an intelligent data management platform for the process industry. Ronan introduced new technologies and Agile development practices to improve application development.

During their time at IBM from 2006 to 2013, Ronan worked as a Lead Software Architect. Ronan was involved in projects such as the DCV (Deep Computing Visualization) project, IBM's Integrated Information Core product, and IBM's Smarter Cities project.

From 2013 to 2014, Ronan worked at StoryToys as a Lead Software Engineer.

Finally, Ronan joined MongoDB in 2014 and held several positions including Technical Services Engineer, Solutions Architect, Senior Solutions Architect, Principal Solutions Architect, and Manager, Pre-Sales Solutions Architecture, UK&I. Ronan worked on various accounts and projects, managing teams, hiring and developing talent, and collaborating with the Sales leadership team.

Throughout their career, Ronan has consistently demonstrated their expertise across different industries and technologies, making valuable contributions to the companies they have worked for.

Ronan B. completed their education at Trinity College Dublin. Ronan obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (by Research) in Physically based computer animation from 1993 to 1996.
