Andrew Blackmore

Andrew Blackmore is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in governance, risk management, and public service. Currently serving as the NED Chair of the Governance and Audit Committee at Monmouthshire County Council and as an Independent Member for the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales, Andrew also chairs the Board of Trustees at Citizens Advice and leads the Finance and Risk Committee at Gateway Credit Union Wales. Andrew's commitment to public service is further demonstrated through the role of Vice Chair of the Governance & Audit Committee at Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council and as an Independent Member of the Audit Committee for Gwent Police. Additionally, Andrew holds the position of Justice of the Peace with Their Majesty’s Court and Tribunal Service. Previous roles include Chief Risk Officer and Head of Enterprise Risk at Police Mutual, Enterprise Risk Director and Head of Operational Risk Management at Zurich Life, and Head of Operational Risk at Nationwide Building Society. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Aberystwyth University.
