Rebecca Alderson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Rebecca started their career in 2012 as a Supermarket Assistant at Waitrose, where they gained customer service and cooking skills. In 2014, they worked as a Sales Assistant at French Connection, excelling in sales and providing personalized styling service.
Rebecca then joined York Vision in 2015 as a Life & Style Editor, responsible for content creation and layout. In the same year, they also served as the Operations Manager for The Northern Youth, organizing a charity fashion show to support emerging fashion students.
In 2016, they worked as a Project Manager at Mediaplanet UK, overseeing specialized content marketing campaigns for various industries. The following year, they became part of BASIS Collective as a Co-Founder & Deputy Editor, a creative endeavor that explored the contemporary art sphere through conversations with artists.
Rebecca's next role was at Redactive Media Group in 2018, where they held positions as a Creative Commercial Content Manager and a Content Projects Specialist. Their responsibilities included managing commercial content and overseeing creative projects.
From 2019 to 2023, Rebecca worked at the Financial Times, initially as a Project Manager in Advertising, then as an Account Manager for Luxury & Weekend Advertising, and finally as a Luxury Sales & Content Manager.
Most recently, Rebecca joined Monocle in 2023 as a Partnerships Director. Throughout their career, they have developed strong managerial and creative skills, with a focus on sales, content management, and project coordination.
Rebecca Alderson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the University of York from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Stroud High Sixth Form from 2005 to 2012, where they completed their high school education. Rebecca also has an additional certification, the IAA PAC 2022, obtained from IAA UK in October 2022.
