Shuyao Wang

Shuyao Wang is a Staff Applications Engineer at Monolithic Power Systems, Inc., since September 2021, previously holding the title of Senior Application Engineer. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant role at CURENT from August 2016 to August 2021 and an internship as an Application Engineer at Tesla from January 2021 to May 2021. Additionally, Shuyao Wang worked as a Power System Engineer at GEIRI North America during the summer of 2019. Shuyao Wang conducted research on developing a generic model of Modular Multilevel Converter High-Voltage Direct Current (MMC-HVDC) for large-scale power network analysis, enhancing the efficiency of MMC-HVDC network simulation. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, earned in 2021, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Automation from North China Electric Power University, completed in 2013.
