Dr. Jan Kaestner

Dr. Jan Kaestner serves as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Monotype since January 2008, with previous roles at the same company including Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, as well as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for the EMEA region. Prior to joining Monotype, Dr. Kaestner was a member of the management team at Zentrale zur Bekämpfung unlauteren Wettbewerbs e. V. from May 2000 to December 2007. Dr. Kaestner's early career included a position as a research assistant to Professor Dr. Thomas Hoeren at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster from February 1998 to December 1999. Educational qualifications include two state examinations in law from Oberlandesgericht Köln and Universität Passau, and a doctorate from the University of Münster.
