Eric Sorg

Eric Sorg serves as an Engineering Training Instructor at DTE Energy and has held the role of Instructor in the Nuclear Engineering Technology Program at Monroe County Community College since October 2009. Eric has worked at DTE Energy since January 1999, initially as a Non-Licensed Operator and later becoming a Licensed Reactor Operator, where responsibilities included operating and maintaining a 1200 MWe GE BWR-4 reactor. In the capacity of Thermal Performance Engineer, Eric conducts efficiency calculations and oversees generation accounting for the Fermi nuclear power station, while also managing the Predictive Maintenance Program for the equipment at the facility. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State University, completing studies there from 1999 to 2004, and also attended The Ohio State University from 1986 to 1988.
