Nancy Lucero

Nancy Lucero currently serves as the Assistant Director of Multicultural and Community Engagement at Monroe County Community College, where responsibilities include cultivating relationships with community organizations and supporting diverse student populations. In addition to this role, Nancy cofounded and directs a community program at Puente, focusing on connecting the Latino/Hispanic community to local resources in Southeast Michigan. Previous experience includes positions as a Program Coordinator for the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, where efforts were directed towards determining vaccine sentiment and promoting community health initiatives, as well as a Social Worker at Monroe County Intermediate School District, delivering training in trauma-informed practices. Nancy's educational background includes a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in American Culture from the University of Michigan, alongside an Associate of Arts from Monroe County Community College.
