Parmeshwar Coomar has been Dean of Applied Science & Engineering Technology Division at Monroe County Community College since 2004. Prior to that, they were assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at California University of Pennsylvania, where they were responsible for developing the plan for offering a B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Parmeshwar has also been a faculty member in the industrial and manufacturing engineering technology department at Moraine Park Technical College since 1991. Parmeshwar Coomar has been an ergonomics consultant at In-Sink-Erator since 1990 and an energy auditor at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) since 1989.

Parmeshwar Coomar has a Doctor of Philosophy (ABD) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from The University of Toledo, a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Industrial Technology from University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Parmeshwar Coomar also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Production Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
