Sonia Cornejo

Sonia Cornejo, LMSW, is a seasoned social worker with extensive experience in educational settings. Currently serving as a Bilingual School Social Worker at the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District since September 2021, Sonia has previously worked as a School Social Worker and Community School Coordinator for the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District from December 2021 to June 2023. Additional roles include serving as a SCOPES Bilingual Social Worker at Westchester Jewish Community Services and as a Social Worker at Saint Basil Academy. Sonia has also held positions as a Career Counselor and Case Manager at Rockland BOCES and a Teacher Assistant at James I O'Neill High School. Education includes a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Thomas Aquinas College.
