Anthony Carlson

Anthony Carlson is an experienced professional in the fields of education, web development, and digital media. Currently serving as the Game Development Lead and Computer Science Teacher at Monrovia Unified School District since December 2017, Anthony is instrumental in revitalizing Career Technical Education by developing a Digital Studies Academy and teaching introductory programming and game development. As a freelance web developer, Anthony specializes in creating custom WordPress sites for small businesses in the Los Angeles area. Previous roles include application administrator at Tetra Tech, instructor at STEAM:CODERS, and administrative support for Next Generation Esports. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University and a Micromasters in Cybersecurity from Rochester Institute of Technology. Additionally, Anthony is a drummer for The New Electric Sound, an American rock band influenced by early rock and surf rock genres.
