Tim Miles

Partner, Historic Environment & Townscape at Montagu Evans

Tim is dual qualified as a Chartered Town Planner with post-graduate qualifications in historic building conservation. He has over 17 years of experience advising clients across both the private and public sector on a range of planning and historic environment issues relating to mixed-use developments, historic buildings of all scales and large developments in a townscape context

Tim’s work covers a range of specialisms, particularly where planning and heritage issues intersect in a sensitive context. This allows Tim to provide incisive, focussed and commercially relevant planning advice so clients can become well-advised of the risks and opportunities associated with complex town planning and heritage-related issues.

Tim’s particular strength is in considering the required strategic approach in securing new development, particularly in a Central London Context. This work is often undertaken in a complex network of planning stakeholders, requiring careful and considered engagement where projects may have particular sensitivities.

Tim has specific experience in cultural uses, advising on the development of various performing arts venues, art galleries and museums.
