Leadership Team

About

The current leadership team at Montclair State University consists of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Willard Gingerich, who has previously held the same position at New York Institute of Technology and The University of North Carolina System; Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Cynthia Newman, who has also been Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at The University of Texas at El Paso; and Founding Dean and Professor of the University of South Florida College of Behavioral & Community Sciences, Dr. Lawrence Sacco. Dr. Gingerich holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Policy Analysis from Stanford University, while Dr. Newman earned her doctorate in Political Science/Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Sacco's previous experiences include being a visiting lecturer at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and an assistant professor of educational policy at Rutgers University, in addition to his founding dean role at USF.
