Elena Dolgikh

Head Of Computational Chemistry at Monte Rosa Therapeutics

Elena (Lena) Dolgikh, PhD has extensive work experience in computational chemistry and cheminformatics. Elena (Lena) currently serves as the Head of Computational Chemistry at Monte Rosa Therapeutics since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from December 2018 to February 2023. At Vertex, they held the positions of Associate Director, Chemical Data Science and Sr. Research Scientist, Data and Computational Sciences, where they led a group of data scientists and applied their expertise in computational chemistry to advance chemical series across multiple disease projects.

Before joining Vertex, Elena worked at Eli Lilly and Company from September 2013 to November 2018. During their time there, they held roles as Senior Research Scientist, Computational Chemistry and Cheminformatics, Research Scientist, Computational Chemistry and Cheminformatics, and Research Scientist, Computational ADME. Elena (Lena) supported medicinal chemistry teams in various therapeutic areas, performed screening hits analysis, virtual screening, and designed multi-property optimization scoring functions.

Elena's academic experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of California, San Francisco, where they applied computational techniques to study ligand interactions with ADME-related proteins. Elena (Lena) also worked as a Ph.D. Student/Research Associate at the University of Florida, where they implemented computational studies and taught analytical chemistry laboratory courses.

In summary, Elena Dolgikh, PhD has a strong background in computational chemistry and cheminformatics, with experience in leading teams, advancing chemical series, and supporting medicinal chemistry projects across multiple disease areas.

Elena (Lena) Dolgikh, PhD obtained their Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from the University of Florida (2004-2009). Prior to that, they completed their M.Sc. in Molecular Biology at the University of North Texas (2002-2004), and their B.S. in Chemistry, also at the University of North Texas (2000-2002).
