James Mcclure

James is an Electronics Technician at MBARI where he manufactures, tests and repairs various oceanographic instruments and underwater vehicles used for oceanic research. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Science, Technology and Policy from California State University, Monterey Bay where he discovered his passion for ocean exploration and conservation. Prior to joining MBARI, James worked as an ROV Engineer and Pilot. He also spent two field seasons in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica working as a Field Technician and Scientific Diver.
