Joost Daniels

Joost is a senior research technician working for Kakani Katija in the Bioinspiration Lab. He is interested in applying techniques from various scientific disciplines to the field of oceanography. With a background in applied physics (laser-plasma accelerator technology and fusion energy) and marine biology (white shark migration patterns), he feels right at home in the multidisciplinary Bioinspiration Lab, using lasers and advanced imaging tools to develop new ocean instrumentation and bio-inspired engineering designs.
