Kristine Walz

Kris is part of the Marine Biodiversity Observing Network (MBON) project with the Biological Oceanography research group at MBARI, using next generation sequencing methods to detect marine organisms present in Monterey Bay water samples. She started working at MBARI in 1996 and has been fortunate to work with a number of research groups in the past 20 years—the Video Laboratory, Benthic Ecology team, Midwater Ecology and Time Series projects, and the Molecular Ecology group.
