Gregory Nelson

Gregory Nelson is a Senior Hydrogeologist with a robust background in hydrogeological services, currently employed at Montgomery & Associates since January 2020. Previously, Gregory served as Senior Hydrogeologist II at Knight Piesold from October 2017 to January 2020, specializing in groundwater modeling with extensive experience in MODFLOW-USG for large regional models. Earlier in the career at Geomega from 2009 to 2017, Gregory updated and re-calibrated a three-dimensional MODFLOW-SURFACT groundwater model in central Nevada, employing PEST software for parameter estimation. Additionally, Gregory worked at McLane Environmental from January 2007 to September 2009, converting and refining a SEAWAT model of freshwater lenses on Cape Cod. Gregory holds a Master of Science in Geophysics from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
