Patrick Johnson has a diverse work experience in procurement and purchasing roles. Patrick began their career as a Buyer II at CNA Corporation, where they were responsible for obtaining materials and services at the lowest cost while ensuring quality and reliability. Patrick also supervised order preparation, negotiated pricing, and maintained necessary records for efficient operation.

Following this, Johnson worked as a Purchasing Supervisor at Prince Georges County Government, where they oversaw purchasing activities and ensured timely delivery of goods and services.

Johnson later joined Montgomery College as a Purchasing Manager, where they managed all aspects of the centralized procurement function, including purchasing, warehousing, and shipping/receiving. Patrick supervised a team of 15 employees and was responsible for budget management, contract negotiation, and resolution of disputes and claims.
