Patrick Johnson

Patrick Johnson has a diverse work experience in procurement and purchasing roles. Patrick began their career as a Buyer II at CNA Corporation, where they were responsible for obtaining materials and services at the lowest cost while ensuring quality and reliability. Patrick also supervised order preparation, negotiated pricing, and maintained necessary records for efficient operation.

Following this, Johnson worked as a Purchasing Supervisor at Prince Georges County Government, where they oversaw purchasing activities and ensured timely delivery of goods and services.

Johnson later joined Montgomery College as a Purchasing Manager, where they managed all aspects of the centralized procurement function, including purchasing, warehousing, and shipping/receiving. Patrick supervised a team of 15 employees and was responsible for budget management, contract negotiation, and resolution of disputes and claims. Johnson also served as a liaison to college committees and maintained positive relationships with vendors and contractors.

Ultimately, Johnson advanced to the role of Procurement Director at Montgomery College. In this position, they continued to oversee the procurement function and advised the President's Office and Board of Trustees on procurement awards and contracting policy. Patrick served as a liaison to the business community and further nurtured positive relationships with college stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.

Patrick Johnson has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Washington Adventist University. Patrick also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from the same institution.
