The Mental Health and Crisis Intervention Team at Montgomery County Emergency Service (MCES) provides trauma-informed psychiatric emergency care and crisis intervention services. This multidisciplinary team answers crisis and suicide hotlines, performs emergency psychiatric assessments, assists with involuntary psychiatric evaluations, and delivers acute inpatient care. They also offer crisis residential support, educate law enforcement and responders in crisis intervention techniques, and coordinate suicide prevention efforts.
