Scott Peterson

Scott Peterson is a communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and strategic communication. Currently, Peterson serves as the Manager of Media Relations and Communication Strategies for Montgomery County Government, acting as the media liaison and spokesperson for the County Executive. Prior to this role, Peterson was the Director of Communications for Howard County Government and served as the Deputy Director of Communications/Press Secretary for Prince George's County, where responsibilities included serving as the spokesperson for the County Executive. Earlier experience includes leading media relations during a crisis for the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and working as a freelance writer and spokesperson for C-SPAN. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Maryland and a Certified Public Manager credential focused on Public Administration and Leadership from The George Washington University.
